232. "Will" Poem Post Santa Barbara Writers Conference

Will
There are those few
who have a will
to live longer
than their own lives
There are those few
who hold this will
because they have
already died
Somewhere, somehow
some time, some mind
they had the luck
of a second chance
And in enlightened
air sublime
pass primal moments
in ghosts of chants

I was inspired by author Robin Leigh Anderson, who provided a sample about her story and experiences as a nurse during the Vietnam War. She was perhaps the most inspiring author I met at the Santa Barbara Writers Conference! More later....
